Great comments from last week. I was lucky to spend the weekend where there is no internet!
PLEASE dwell your successes, EVERYDAY in your journal. A success is anything that you did for yourself. Try to look at all sides of the situation that you find challenging. ALL SIDES find a positive and dwell on it.
I ate too much, but I ate very healthy. I ate too many sweets but I walked everyday for exercise. I took a vacation and now I am home to get back to what is best for me. I had a great time last weekend and I am energized.

Here's my positive for you Donna...after a really hard and off week I've gotten back on track and doing what's best for me and my health! :)What I always find so startling now that I mostly live healthy, is HOW TERRIBLE I feel physically when not eating right, and my new "not eating right" is not nearly as unhealthy as I was doing prior to the Plan. I am driven to return to my good habits whenever I get off track quite simply because doing anything else makes me feel yucky and who wants to feel like that. I am going out of town tomorrow for a "100% for me" short getaway and am running very far behind in getting ready so I don't think I'm coming over tonight. But I'm not hiding like I was last week, just really must leave on time in the morning and have to jump through a bunch of hoops to be able to leave kids at home without me. Hope everyone is doing well and I'm missing Donna and Jen and Tammi :) and will definitely see you next week.

great thanks Anne. Everyone is going to examine their emotions before eating this week. We gave out new workouts where needed. Jan shared how to do the "working nights" eating plan and shared how she dealt with her stress last week. Susan and Tommy are a team kicking butt and losing it too. Keep chiming in and have a great trip. Glad you know how to make yourself feel healthy. Quality in your nutrition and your time for yourself is imperitive. Good for you
Anne, your comments helped me so much! I loved your comment that the new "not eating right" is so much better than pre-Plan - how true. I don't want to be TOO rigid with myself because I get into trouble with that (hx of anorexia/bulemia)but I also want to hold myself accountable - balance is crucial!

Okay...so some of you have been inspired by Tammi Mengel.... well.. if you want what Tammi has...do what Tammi does... she made the breakfast bars...have you??
Oatmeal Banana Energy Bars
(Makes a 9 inch square pan)
2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup flax seeds (ground or crushed)
1 cup vanilla rice milk
1 large egg + 1 egg white
2 bananas- ripe and smooshed (or sub fruit/pumpkin puree of choice equal to 1 cup)
1/2 cup applesauce- unsweetened
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Add-ins if desired
1/2 cup nuts of choice, crushed
1/2 cup dried fruit (cranberries, chopped dates)
Mix all ingredients together (well), place in prepared 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approx 40-45 minutes. Cool, slice into desired size bars. Store loosely covered in the refrigerator. Makes 9 bars ~ 250 calories each.
I did make them and LOVE them!! :) Of course, most of you know--I am not a chef...so, Donna and Jennifer had to help me--with finding the flax seed...(I'm not a shopper either!)I hate I missed class this week--but, all is well and I am very excited about my new way of life...the PLAN. I emailed Jennifer and Donna today to tell them that I think, after a year, I finally "get it"...So, for those of you taking it one day at a time--keep after it...Because it is all good. Life will happen and we will slip up. But, when we slip up, we will recognize it and slip back to health! Eating the right stuff is all good (I spent a LOT of cash at the farmers market today)...and, the benefits...as Anne said--feeling good is much more desirable! Take it from the PLAN groupies...me and Anne! :) Hope everyone has a great week--be balanced, feel your emotions--and recognize what they do to you...get outside and play!! Talk to you soon!! Tammi
