How'd you sleep? How much water did you drink yesterday?
Hello All, It is a beautiful day, get your workout done outside if possible. Just walk and make it easy and let is last a long time. Go to the Farmer's Market this weekend and buy organic where you can. Pesticides and added antibiotics are not good for a body so do whatever you can to limit your exposure. Who is having a good time with this so far?

I'm sleeping great, but that's never been a problem for me. Drinking lots of water. It's very eye-opening to look up the caloric value of all these foods. I still haven't found the will-power to stay away from the occasional snacks. I need some guidance on tasty, healthy, low-calorie options.
Everyone has asked for low cal snack options.... here is a sheet if you would like a printout on calories in fruits & vegetables. It will change your life if you focus on fruits/vegs being your snack of choice!

Yesterday was Strawberry Day at the Farmer's Market.... who went??
Jen
Actually THIS Friday really is the official Strawberry Day at the Piedmont Farmer's Market 10am - 1PM. Recipe brochures and directions to "pick-you-own" farms available.
maybe there will be strawberries at the hospital farmer's market on thursday again...they were all gone last week. The key is learning how to prepare the veggies so they taste great. My daughter this evening became the official asparagus cook! Great fresh asparagus with lemon and pepper. Pretty good week here, hope everyone else is doing well.

great veggie snack. roasted root vegetables. Sweet potatoes, yukon jack potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, cubed and brushed with olive oil and peppered.
Cook in a 500 degree oven, till brown. Takes about 20-25 minutes. Do a whole cookie sheet. Let cool. use as snacks.
yum yum
