I am going to make this chilli
what is your favorite recipe?
I'm going to make it too! Thanks Jen! And I find that life is better if you opt for the red wine whenever that is an option. Go Saints! Actually I couldn't care less. But I did live in New Orleans for 3 years and my son was born there, so that's my reasoning! Happy Super Bowl Sunday to everyone, I will be at WORK :(
Oh Melanie, former planimal, told me she wants to lose 25 by May 3. I overheard this and since May 3 happens to be my 47th birthday I decided to join her! It seemed like a "sign" or else I just happened to be walking by. Either way, we're on it :) An hour and 45 flippin minutes on the treadmill today to try to increase my time/distance for this 1/2 marathon thing. Tammi has nicely agreed to finish her race and then come back and find me....and she knows CPR. :)
Anne
Tammi you are incredible!!!
I am trying to understand metabolic rate...so my RMR is 1234 does this include the negative caloric intake the book mentions in the evaluation result page or do I have to depend more on exercise since I can't go under 1200? In other words if I eat 1234 a day I will not loose or gain(not including exercise)?
Is Anne the blogger Anne the Poster Child? As a new planimal can you tell me about your first weeks in the plan.
Is there a place to take healthy cooking classes around? maria
Keep it simple. Plan your week. Write down calories eaten. Exercise and write it down. You will discover thru your writing how many calories you need each day and how many minutes of cardio you need each week to lose weight. Try not to complicate it.
You have a calorie range. Stay in it. Do as much Zone 1 cardio as possible. Write everything down and discover how to manage your weight loss.
Shamonica.--I am afraid of the scale tomorrow. Been eating and excercising well but feel like I've ate too much. Since I lost 15lbs before I started, I know my wt loss will slow down. Not ready for that since seeing the scale drop big numbers in motivating
Is our meeting still on today at ten?
Shamonica you will need to take a leave of absence and go on the biggest loser if you want to lose crazy amounts of weight every week...don't be afraid of the scale, keep doing what you are doing because you know it works. Good luck on the scale though!
Maria, I started the plan last Spring and quickly got hooked on the blog...there were times when I was practically blogging to myself!! But if you are a person who works through things in this way I really recommend the blog. Every once in a while when you really need it someone might say something that really helps. Donna is great for that. To be honest I just tried very hard to listen to Donna and Jen, I didn't try to second guess or jump ahead and I really listened to the message. I have a notebook where I wrote down things we talked about and "plan quotes" that were valuable to me or just plain funny. I still pull it out and look at it when I feel the need for a reminder :)And I still blog because it still helps me. Good luck! And no I'm not the poster child :)...Anne
