Pedal the Piedmont

Good ride on Saturday at Pedal the Piedmont. Many Team Spinergy's out and a good course. I had little apprehension on not supporting TdKale and hope they had a great turnout. I had an eventually successful day due to Amy, Carolyn, Liz, Tim, Doug and Peter getting me in thru a bonk. I was encouraged, coached and pulled the last part and was very happy to finish. Thought the chicken pie was the answer which 2 hours later that proved not to be true. I am happy I went and saw what a good time everyone had. Liz Mullins gets my vote for RIDER OF THE WEEK for a long and fast effort, hangin on the hills recovering, getting back to it and finishing strong. I give David Miller the SECRET SQUIRRELL award for going to any lengths to imporve his riding! Thanks for a fun day. Mike Brown came thru with the beer as usual and to the group that supported Tour de Kale, good job. I do not think the PTP will confict with Kale again, and we can ride every weekend till forever or the $$$ runs out!! See you out there.
