Donna, you are cracking me up! So excited about the scale this week! :) If food was not the focus of my life... hmmmmm, well my chef husband and I would not spend as much time together in the kitchen, I wouldn't plan my Sunday around being at Mom's at lunch time. I would save like a bizillion dollars every year (not eating out as much, not making my weekly trip to Fresh Market...). I guess a lot would change if food wasn't the focus... anyway, back to food being the focus... Jason and I made homemade pizza for dinner! Yum!! Lots of veggies and fresh cheese! :) -steph
Let's see....I could wear size 12, I could go more than 2 flights of stairs without being out of breath, I could cross my legs, I could play more things with my grandson. We're on our way! bette
I got home today, starving. It was 8pm, no food since 1pm and I almost fell back into the "grab and stuff" routine. And then, I remembered our new paper to fill out......Yes, I am hungry Jen and Donna!!!! I drank some water and proceeded to calmly eat a healthy supper. I am so proud that I did not even reach for the peanut butter jar! Melanie
Yep, the first post had DL written all over it. My answer to this question is "Better"....much, much better. I definitely think about food less than I was last April when I started the plan the first time and it is a liberating feeling. I lost 5 more pounds and life is good! Anne
I think my life would be pretty boring. I love good food.If food was not the focus I could run with my daughter and jump rope without an oxygen tank near by.. LOL. Kepp up the great work everyone. Thanks Donna and Jen for all your help. KEEP ON TRUCKING BABY
I don't even want to jump rope! It seems harsh on the joints :)....I was thinking about that thought when I was posting last night, that great food, paired with great wine and great people is a wonderful thing...BUT my goal is to have the great food, the great wine and the great people without the food being such a BIG deal. I want to be in control over the great food, ya know? Oh and might I just point out that some of the food that got me to where I was, was not really THAT GREAT, pretty awful some of it really..... Anne
Ya, good food is really important. I am so picky about quality... it is just quanity I have to deal with... growing up in the food industry and then marrying a chef really makes me a "stuck up foodie"!!! hahaha... now if I could be a smaller version of a stuck-up foodie!! You know, like, Padma Lakshmi!!! -steph
very interesting thoughts. I am hungry right now and am thinking what is best for the rest of the morning until a 12:00 break. The old pattern of too much coffee and no breakfast stops right now. There are almonds, pnut butter and apples in the office. I am going to restart my healthy Friday. Jennifer I hope you feel better.
It is so refreshing to know that healthy people struggle with food stuff, too! :) Now for my Plannimals playlist!!!
Dave Matthews "Shake me like a monkey" Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" Ludacris "Money Maker" Lily Allen "Smile" Mary J. Blige "Family Affair" Mirah "The Garden" Pitbull "I Know you Want Me" Rob Zombie "Living Dead Girl" Rob Zombie "Spookshow Baby" Jill Scott "Golden" Alanis Morissette "You oughta Know" Sir Mix-A-Lot "Baby Got Back" Indigo Girls "Closer to Fine" k.d. lang "Constant Craving"
