mypyramid.gov

spend a few minutes today looking at this website. We are moving to the mindset to feed your body properly and exercise your body properly for a happy life. Achieving a different body is possible.....................what will it take? what are you willing to do?

Are you willing to write and count EVERYTHING in the journal?

Are you willing to exercise 6 days a week?

Are you willing to put yourself first?

I hope it was at least good chocolate. Oh wait, it's steph, it was probably chocolate of the highest quality! I'm overtired and a little anxious about stuff I'm behind on, which means drink some water, go to bed!!

hang in there, life if long and you are going great Steph. Go look on mypyramid.gov and see what your body needs. Deal with what ever else in another way than food. Stress is best dealt with thru breathing and relaxation exercises. 10 deep breaths with eyes closed and a smile. Let me know how it works out.

I am hungry today. Woke up hungry. I have eaten all I can have till supper. Guess I will drink some more water because I know that I cant really be hungry. ( off my routine as I am working second today) Steph, just count your chocolate calories like I have to do the peanut butter. Melanie

Hang in Melanie you are doing it right. It is working. Some days are mixed up but you are doing it just right. Congratu;ations. Go look in the mirror and say "I AM DOING IT RIGHT. YEAH FOR ME"

Donna, your posts, as always are priceless. I don't seem to be doing it right right now (other than I did make it to the fitness center at 0530 Thurs morning)....nervous, nervous, nervous stuff going on. So what should I say to myself in the mirror? I'm thinking something like "don't be a dumbass, just go and do what you already know how to do anne. love, donna" hahaha. I'm going to go for a walk.

sorry to those who don't share my typical use of the english language. It's a bad habit I have.

were you referring to the "dumbass" part?? that is so funny b/c I had to reread your post and I was like, "what is she talking about??" guess that just shows you how I use the English language... :) coming home today... yes I am posting at 4:30 in the morning... I ate like a stressed/pms-ing/unhealthy/not trying to lose weight woman last night and I feel like crap right now... gosh darn you, Donna and Jennifer, now my body cannot handle binges of junk food!!!

Ok guys.......lets remember why we are here and how we got to the point that we needed to be here. We can have chocolate and peanut butter and binges............just count the calories and make the binges healthy....and make sure you are really hungry before you binge on let's say an apple. I am not going to give up reading and snacking. I just snack on minute pieces of apple instead of a box of crackers. .. when I am hungry. There are black thongs in the future for all of us and we wont look like sumo wrestlers in them!! Melanie

Oh my!! I am laughing at everyone's blogs! You all are so funny! But, I have to say, Melanie--yours is the best! When I read about the black thong--I had crazy visions run through my mind! So, everyone is doing it right--because now, we are aware! Knowledge is everything! I was on the treadmill today (yes, I am having an endorphin moment:)) and started some "negative thinking"...I haven't been as focused this go 'round, I need to do better, why did I let myself get in this condition...You all know what I'm talking about....Then, I looked in the mirror and started laughing! (and it wasn't because I need a some new sports bras--which I desperately do!)....I was laughing because I realized that a year ago, I couldn't jog for an hour...a year ago I was 40 pounds heavier and a year ago I didn't have the pleasure of sharing my food secrets (you know, I can eat PB by the jar, love those PB cups, pasta is my life...) with such fine people as my fellow Planimals! So, it may be rainy and cloudy outside--but, I am feeling quite happy and content that I am on the right path. So, thanks for the laughs this morning! You all are doing great!:)) Tammi

Tammi stopped by the unit with her basket of healthier choices and mentioned the blog so decided I'd blog during lunch today. Melanie, I like your idea of cutting up the apple in little pieces to "binge" on. I actually think I'll try it and throw in some chopped celery to go with it like someone talked about at the meeting. I mean it's celery, and an apple...I'm not fooling myself.....but it might work during one of those times when you just want something to go with your water. I don't know if I'm feeling it about the thongs though. But those of you who are, have at it. Maybe you can get some photos in Regional High Points. Plan girls gone wild...Good day so far, need a few good ones to counter the few not great ones I've had lately. Happy Halloween!

Well, maybe I am on the right track. I can't believe I walked for an hour today here at home. It even drizzled rain a few times. Trying not to eat when I am bored is difficult. I have to keep myself busy all the time. Food has always been such a comfort for me. I love to cook it and I love to eat it. Only one more trip to the coast this year, that should help alot. Saw Cindy Craven the other day, she looks great!!!! I know there is hope. I just have to learn to break old habits, and at my age, that is hard to do. Looking to buy a used treadmill, anyone know of one? Carolyn

thongs...ugh... I don't care if i had a butt like kim kardashian... I am not wearing one!!! no thank you, wedgie!!! much better now that I am home... jason and I walked for like 6 hours yesterday around downtown philly!!! not sure what my "heart rate" was, but 6 hours has to count for something! :) I know my heart rate was up for some of the walking... Philly is rough!!!

Plangirls gone wild, Anne I have just had the morning funny for the day. I didnt mean to imply that I wanted to wear a thong.......I just want to be able to put one on and actually be able to see it......no fat rolls, folds and bulging butt cheeks obscuring the thong!!!!! Eating my oatmeal and thanking God for my new motivation to exercise. Melanie

Donna...speechless! I can't believe it!! Well, just goes to show ya--anything is possible!! :)) I am quite excited...I bought new running shoes yesterday....I actually spend some money on myself--and I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow on that treadmill! I also bought that other item I referenced in my previous blog...pretty interesting...spent almost as much on that as I did my shoes...But--I think it will be well worth it!:) What a cold and dreary day....I've had trouble controlling my intake today. I'm looking forward to seeing some sunshine this week!! Donna--the good thing about this blog...it gives you some new material for class! :) Tammi

I agree totally but when the subject matter includes thongs and Kim Kardashian you must at this point be able to identify with my dilemma! I will remain somewhat silent and motivational only.

Great Job Everybody

Hard day at work, didn't go to The Fitness Center, but I got my treadmill this afternoon. I will make up for it tomorrow after my friend and I go to an Auction. I know exercise works because I lost 3 lbs. last week. I love my treadmill, got it for a steal off of Craigs list. Everyone have a great week-end. Carolyn

I love "mypyramid.gov". It makes counting calories soooo much easier. I am also enjoying calculating my physical activities and comparing it to my calorie intake. Thanks for introducing this website!!!
