wow! that is so eye opening!!!! I am enjoying a black bean burrito right now... the canned black beans did not fit the ratio, but I was just too lazy to soak my dried beans last night. Did 62 mins on the treadmill today. Feeling good! Hope everyone else is doing well! :)

Fantastic!
Awareness is the key to The Plan.

Do what you can and you will continue to be successful.

People's habits are changing their heads are nodding and the scale is moving!!!

Thanks everyone for the effort so far.

Hey Steph, rinse the beans and you'll get rid of at least some of the sodium. Well, it's getting late and I've not yet done my walking so I have to hurry up and get to they Y right now. Then I've got to make an emergency stop at the store because........we are out of Peanut Butter! Everyone sounds great. Except Tammi, where is she? :)

just got back from a 1000+ cal dinner at GTCC--the culinary students worked hard!!!--salmon, spinach souffle, rice, bread w/ herbed butter and chocolate mousse served in an upside down hard chocolate cone, whipped cream with a couple strawberries and blueberries WOW it was good (shared with the hubby)..so now if I only eat 1000 cals. tomorrow will that make up the difference :) ????

I'm here!! I had to make a quick trip to Washington for a meeting--so, missed my class and weigh in. I'm fearful that I consumed too many calories while out of town...so, my exercise shoes will probably be permanently attached to my feet for the next 4 days!! I've talked to many of our plan participants--current and alumni-- (Stephanie told me to get on the blog!) and it sounds like this group is on the road to major successes! It is exciting to listen to everyone's story and it does help to know that there are so many of us to support each other! So--here's a true confession...I, too, am a peanut butter lover! I used to prefer my PB portion in a chocolate "wrap"...but, I've moved on!:)) Hope everyone has a great weekend! Tammi

Glad to see you here on the blog, Tammi! :) I am loving this breakfast thing!!! :) I love waking up hungry and eating a bowl of cereal, drinking coffee, and watching the birds in my back yard (does that make me sound like I am 80????).... I never thought exercising could be so simple! I love my time on the treadmill (does that make me sound crazy???)... Not sure what is for lunch today... oh and I know ALL about GTCC culinary program and what delicious food they put out... my husband graduated from that culinary program!!!
Have a great day everyone!

Steph, 80 and crazy. Ha. Just kidding. You're ok girl. Just got back from the ymca so now I feel like I can move on with my day with at least something accomplished. Cut it short at 50 minutes last night because I had to go get the PB at HT so did some extra minutes today. IF anyone shops at HT their chicken breasts are buy one get one free and 10 dollars off these big bags of frozen shrimp. Tammi, I'm more of a chocolate with the pb on the outside girl, which I did very often last plan. Dove dark choc sqare, tbsp of pb. It's an indication that God wants us to be happy, in moderation. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. I'm gearing up for night shift...I'm hoping to be able to convince myself monday morning AFTER working weekend nights to go get on the treadmill about 0800. Will I see anyone there?
