Another Weekend Another Chance to Make Good Choices

We talked about "GIVING YOUR BODY WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS" as opposed to what you want. Give yourself what you need nutritionally. A body needs to be fed and put to sleep and exercised. A person needs to be treated kindly, stoked and loved. A woman needs to take credit for all she does for others and EXPECT and GET love and respect from herself and others. Get what you need from the people that are a positive part of your life. Spend little time with anyone not in that catagory. Dwell on the positive. Putting yourself first will be the best thing you do all day. It doesn't have anyting to do with your job. Do a good job then leave your job and do a good life.

You are brilliant, I need you at my house. My daughter is going to college soon leaving an extra room...I had a perfect calorie day yesterday and then I added something I didn't NEED out of boredom or something. I wasn't hungry. That makes me mad at me! But I know this is a work in progress and I will still sometimes do this and I THINK the correct answer is to get the Donna voice in my head and say 'Anne, just do the plan'. And over time maybe it will be my voice instead of yours. You asked me at the meeting what I thought the difference is with the plan and what I've done before. I think that it is that everything you and Jen have said from day one has just rung true. It's not that complicated, just simple and true and honest stuff. And it isn't a way to 'lose weight' but a way to live life. A program that allows you to not eat all day and then go out and eat a big sodium loaded meal with zero fiber doesn't ring true for me anymore. "work arounds" aren't really part of the plan. "work arounds" meaning things like artificial sweeteners that our body just doesn't really NEED, we just want this stuff so we can kinda sorta not have to change what goes in our body. I too once sprayed this butter flavored crap on my food that was made of, what?? Thank you for finally helping me see the light about just putting real things into my body. I've got a ways to go, but I will NEVER think the same way about eating again. And I love you guys for that! Anne

I can't stop smiling :)
Thanks for your kind words... I wish I could bottle that and pour it on people.

I wish we could bottle it and put it on FOOD!:)) Just kidding...I completely agree with Anne! I have learned more about myself during these past few weeks. I wasn't so sure about this blogging thing-but, it really has helped to "talk" and to know that there are friends "out there" going through the same emotions--and motions! Tammi

The blog rocks! I am not a natural blogger (really, I swear)...BUT, when I decided to do the Plan I decided to do it all, take a chance and do anything that might help, including gathering support even if that did mean emailing Tammi Mengel out of nowhere to talk about the plan. Tammi I was thinking of you while I was walking today. Only 12 more days in our session...I just want to knock it the heck out of the park. Let's do it!! Anne

BATTER UP! Finish big, see were you stand and we will go from there. It's all good. I promised not to check e-mail but was granted permission to blog! Life is full of compromises and except for the ones from you guys my e-mail pretty much stinks.

GO TAMMI!!! GO ANNE!!! I have already knocked it out of the park(29 lbs lost so far on the plan- with a total weight loss of 51 lbs.) It feels so good physically and emotionally that I really cannot find the words to express how grateful I am to Jennifer and Donna and THE PLAN!!! I know that I can keep this going until I reach my goal weight and for the rest of my life!! Thanks again guys, you really are the GREATEST!!

One good thing about the blog...last night I "talked the talk" which made me today feel like I better "walk the walk", which I did (literally) and now my feet hurt! But it helps keep ya honest. Hope everyone has a good weekend. AR.
