Excellence, therefore is not an act but a habit. Aristotle
What new habits have you formed? How many days of exercise are you getting now? How many were you getting 4 months ago? How many days were you counting calories and writing it down 3 months ago?
THIS IS EXCELLENT!
Thanks for doing it.

Hi Donna! Just got in from the gym(third straight day of one-legged seated stepper-AKA BOREDOM). However I have had an AH-HAH moment! I have fallen in love with myself and now realize that there is nothing that I cannot do to get where i want to be!!!!Thanks guys, you are the GREATEST!!!!!Annette
The plan with J&D puts that number one weight loss program in the country to shame. I feel hope about this for the first time in a long time. I'm doing the work, but there is something about this plan that has triggered this level of commitment. I'm going to get it done, all the way to where I want to be, and I love that it has made others feel like they can get there too. Anne
Go Girls Go!
I saw a lesser number on my scale today, an 8 instead of a 9 even though yesterday I gave in to a temptation of chips. I wrote it all down (thank goodness they make those little bags) and ended the day still in the lower range of my calories where I'm trying to stay. After the chips I realized dinner must be a big salad with tuna to top it off. It's great to be where you don't just throw the whole day because you ate something not so great. I won't see that number on the real scale at the fitness center for a while because my scale weighs lighter, but I know in my mind that I'm heading in the right direction because I saw that number with my own eyes!! Sorry to hog the blog, but I'm always home alone (the sleeping teenagers don't count)and it's cheaper than a therapist anyway :)I hope nobody minds. Anne
Trust me nobody minds. I know there are eyes checking in here and getting reassurance and strength from your comments Anne. I know that the meetings and the blog can be so powerful in changing the bad habits. No one thing, no one day will hurt, but what you did was perfect. If the chips were worth it, not worth it or simply no big deal you did the right thing to stay in The Plan. You are doing something different, therefore you will be different, and you will reach your goal. Like Annette said, nothing stands in our way.
I'm with ya! This has been one of the best things I've done for myself in a very long time! My relationship with food (yes, I do have a relationship!) is changing--I am not sure why or when that started...but, it sure is nice to feel so in control (most of the time)of that relationship! I really thought that my "genes" were going to be my fate (which in every other part of my life I've said "you create your own fate")--Well, today I know that I can also create my own fate in weight. (sorry about the rhyme!:)) Hope it's a great week for everyone!:))Tammi
Wow! You guys are rockin the blog! I missed a couple days and had quite a bit of reading to do to catch up! Keep it up - another week of SUCCESS!!!!

My new mantra...."we are what we repeatedly do"....If I want something different, I can do something different. I love this. Lightbulb moments! Anne
Aristotle Rocks!
Hey all! I've been missing the blog for awhile. For those who don't know, I've been under the weather, it tried to defeat me, but I'm a fighter! (LOL) I missed last week's meeting because of family business. I lost a half pound last week although I only worked out one day. I have been walking outside this week, taking advantage of the warm mornings. I'm eating good most days and slipping on some...like I had chocolate cake! BUT-I only had a small square, which was disappointing because I wanted a HUGE PIECE. My body wouldn't let me do that to myself. I have slipped on the water though. I'm still in the ballgame! Thanks to Anne for the reciprocal support that is much needed! The middle is always the hardest...we'll all go into OVERDRIVE as we head towards the end! See you at the meeting this week! ~Shamonica~
And the blog has been missing you too Shamonica! I am so happy to hear from you. I'm glad you are beginning to feel better. Water doesn't sound good to me when I'm sick for some reason. Congrats on only having a small piece of chocolate cake too. I'm a little worried about vacation...there is an abundance of crunchy/salty junk around. I think I can ignore the sweets. But my brothers are great cooks. We seem to consume large amounts of Old Bay Seasoning there too. We'll see how it goes. I will indulge in lobster on our annual lobster night, with the butter. Other than that I'm going to try to hold it together! Glad you're back. Anne
