I ran into a friend of mine Sunday. He is a salesman that supplies our family business with knobs for finishing. Our plant is shut down for now and everyone on unemployment. When I ask him how everything is going he said,
EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS IS FINE
remember this, it made me feel better. Please prioritize your life and keep it simple. What do you want? What does it take to get it? Who can help you? And most importantly
how is everything that matters going?

Everything that matters is fine, Donna. Thanks for asking! After my initial disappointment with my one and a half pound weight loss this week, you helped me get some perspective and I really appreciate both you and Jennifer. What has been in my mind since the meeting is just how much work goes into losing modest amounts of weight and how much I don't want to do that same work over to lose the same pounds. I want to do the work to lose NEW pounds. I hope this realization will help keep me in check on my vacation in 2 weeks. It was fun to do some weights today. I hope everyone has a great week :). Anne
Everything that matters is fine with me, too! I have lost the same 10 to 20 pounds several times in the last 3 to 5 years...So, I have a goal to get those same 20 off PLUS a few more before Donna and Jennifer turn us loose!! I'm getting close--and as each week goes by, I really do feel that I can and will make choices that are best for me. I have also decided that even though I am not a person who LOVES to exercise--I am reaping the benefits of devoting an hour a day to ME! Hope the week is full of things that matter to everyone!! Tammi :)
Has anyone noticed the sodium content in salad dressings? Seriously? That's insane. AR
Do tell Anne, what's the number?
I have salad dressings in my fridge with sodium of over 400mg in 2 TBSP. That's crazy! I was only going to use a tbsp, but decided to skip it. I have a ken's lite spray, raspberry walnut vinaigrette that is 35mg for 10 sprays (the ingredients are recognizable, like water, vinegar!)so used it. I think Donna is thinking "Let the salad taste like salad." :)Anne
Oh my--you missed my blog about the LIGHT salad dressing! I had a slight meltdown in the cafe...And made the switch to oil & vinegar. :)
I did my interval yesterday--the time went by fast---because I had to pay attention to what I was doing and getting my heart rate up and down! whew! Tammi
I thought you were just talking about calories in that blog, not sodium. I must pay closer attention. Yeah, I just figured it wasn't worth it. I'm doing interval tomorrow or friday whichever day the mood strikes me...I'm interested in how it will go. I know i will feel triumphant when I get the first one done (think Rocky)ha ha....continue to have a good week. Anne
I love you guys!!! this blog is the highlight of my day (and my Mom's but she is a silent ovserver)
I'm hearing the Rocky theme song right now!! You can FLY!!
Hey Donna--do we get bonus pounds for blogging? I think that we should lose an extra one or two each week! Tammi
Now I'm really going to be on the treadmill and that song is going to be in my head and I'm going to be laughing to myself and the people near me will think I'm crazy. Maybe I'll just look over and say "endorphins, I guess." OK, it's late and I'm just punchy (not to worry, I'll sleep late and get my 7 hours). Hello to Donna's mom. Donna's amazing!! AR.
Okay Anne!! I am hearing the music!!! I did zone 2 today....and had quite a time getting my heartrate up...I'm starting to wish that I was back at week one on the exercise plan!!! Tammi
On my way out the door to do interval at the YMCA. I fear I will have that same problem! I know, they have tricked us into having to work harder :). Hope I don't fall off the treadmill in my efforts at interval. I can see that happening to me. Have a healthy, fun weekend. Anne
