"Don't be afraid of food!" "Adding water to your diet will be revolutionary for you!" These two statements from Jennifer and Donna went to the heart for me. I have had 3lbs loss and excited about that!! Thanks Mrs. Mary for the advice about how I should schedule my water drinking! (love the support) I went to Food Lion after meeting. I bought the Steamable Veggies as suggested from mts. I bought bottle water and on sale! I bought Chicken breasts like Donna said and again on sale! (like it was meant to be!)And purchased fruit that my husband volunteered to cut, peel and store for me! (aww he so sweet) And $91 later, I have a plan! I have already had two bottle waters this morning.Had a 370 calorie bkft that consisted of scr. egg w/cheese, yogurt w/granola,banana and bottle water! REady for another successful week!!! -Shamonica-

And what a great idea Donna! I do have a HR monitor and will go walking outside instead of the treadmill today. (I took the day off work today) Thanks for you and Jennifer continued support in us the Plan-animals! ~Shamonica~

I, too, went to the store after the meeting and bought fruits & veggies I can eat while at work for breaks. I also bought the steamable veggies. I think I need to be afraid of food though because I am 100% an emotional eater and if I could have something to eat 24/7 I would. My struggle is to ONLY eat my 1410/1610 calories a day and ignore all the 'feelings' telling me to eat, eat, eat...... Plus my job is a 'sit at a pc all day' kind of job which is boring and monotonous which doesn't help either. But the good news is that I AM GOING TO MAKE IT WORK!!!!! =)

This is all good. If you can go by the advice to eat when you are hungry then take a couple seconds before you are going to eat something and determine if you are hungry. If you are EAT! If you have other feelings STOP! What do you use to deal with those feelings? BLOG, jog, phone a friend, take a walk around the block. or send me a text!

I'm glad people are using the blog. I'm feeling kind of draggy/tired today..it helps to hear from people. I guess on days like today I need to go back to that quote about doing what you need to do when you need to do it. Just do it!! OK, I'm going to do it even though I'd really like to take a nap :).Anne

Anne, do the absolute minimum and then write in your journal

I did it today! Five bottles of water no other beverages! It started raining at my house right before we were going walking outside, so I did 60 minutes on my treadmill. For the first time, I sweat bullets. And for the first time, I was hungry at lunch so I kept snacking...healthy though!(wheat thins, banana, and real fruit bar and kept drinking water) Today was a good day. See ya at the FC tomorrow in the morning!

Okay so today is Friday and I just want to say that I walked again last night for 1 hour and 34 minutes burning 316 calories! This morning when my alarm went off I didn't turn it off and roll back over- I actually had the energy to just get up and get in the shower!! It was NUTS! I tried a different eating strategy yesterday but it totally bombed.. so I am still trying to find my 'happy place' with the food aspect of all this, but I think I have this exercise thing down- & I am LOVING how it makes me feel!!!!

Just remember you can set small goals, I have an knee injury and pushing for 20 to 30 minutes a day. I actually went 60 minutes on Wed. I gave blood this morning then did 20 mins on the treadmill. You have to really set your mind it. My evenings are the hardest when I leave work at 6:30 pm and get home exhausted and trying to complete schoolwork. But I Will Do This for my own health.... I was having the draggy day yesterday and kind of messed up at dinner time when my kids were bombarding me with their emergencies all at once. I've yet to really see that eating the noodles I was preparing for them really helps the stress so I don't know why I can't figure out how not to do that...BUT I didn't go completely crazy with food even though I slipped and today is a great day. So if anyone is struggling some today it is just a day and tomorrow you can forget about it and move on. Felt great on the treadmill, eating well, drinking the water (thanks to whoever gave Shamonica pointers on that because she passed them on to me). I hope everyone has a wonderful successful weekend!
